Raging War , the self-titled debut album from the Santa Catarina-based thrash metal band, turned three years old on June 6, 2021, the same date chosen for the release of their new work, the EP The Last Tree .
With its lineup virtually intact, Raging War currently features Ricardo Lima on bass and backing vocals, Rudi Vetter on lead vocals, and Wellington Rodrigues on guitar. The band returned to the studio without a permanent drummer, but the synergy and maturity that these three years have brought to the three musicians have directly impacted the quality of their compositions.
Produced by the band themselves and with drums recorded by Marlon Joy of Undercave studio, The Last Tree features an introduction and three more unreleased tracks of thrash metal that, despite sounding absolutely aggressive, is executed with great taste and presents quite elaborate compositions, with deeper lyrics and even more purpose than before.
Regarding the EP's release, vocalist Rudi Vetter commented: "In a period marked by distance between people, it was a challenge as a band to stay in sync to finalize the composition and record these songs, but the result was rewarding."
The EP is now available on all major streaming platforms, as is the band's debut album. Through Raging War's YouTube channel you can check out the music video for "The Meaning" from their debut album, a live version of " Corroding Chemistry," and soon, a lyric video for one of the band's new songs.
